I have been married to my husband, Jay, for 38 years and we have theee grown children. My daughter, Lindsey, is a school teacher; my son Joshua works for my husband (my husband owns a construction company); and my son Matthew is an insurance adjuster. I have six grandchildren ( 3 boys and 3 girls) ranging in age from 18 months to 15 years. My hobbies are college sports ( GO DAWGS!!!!) and spending time with my family. I attend Living Hope Faith Christian Center in Cairo where I sing and play the piano on the praise and worship team. I have just retired from the public school system after 30 years of teaching. I received my BS degree in Early Childhood/Middle Grades from East Texas State University; my Master’s Degree in Special Education from VSU; my Specialist Degree in Special Education from VSU. I have taught at the elementary, middle, and high school level. I have also served in the role of academic coach and intervention specialist for several years. I owe everything I am and ever will be to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I praise Him for His wonderful greatness, His never ending mercy, and His unfailing love. My heart’s desire is to walk righteously before Him in all I do and say and to live a life pleasing to Him. I desire to be a light for Him and to draw others to the light of His love.
